For Insurers and TPAs

A coordinated pathway for members who need complex elective orthopedic surgery in China — specialist assessment first, then cost, authorization and delivery.

What Insurers Need

One pathway, from assessment to settlement

Written specialist assessment

Before any travel is arranged, orthopedic specialists in Beijing review the case and issue an assessment in English: feasibility, likely surgical direction, and what further information is required. If the case is not suitable for cross-border referral, we say so.

Written cost estimate per case

Once the case has been assessed, we provide a written cost estimate covering the planned treatment, so your team can evaluate it before authorizing anything. Final costs depend on the treatment actually delivered and are set by the hospital, not by JINGBEI.

Authorization and claims coordination

We coordinate pre-authorization, guarantee of payment and claims documentation with your team. Coverage for planned treatment overseas varies by policy and requires case-by-case confirmation.

End-to-end delivery

Travel and visa support, admission coordination, interpretation during the stay, English discharge documentation and a follow-up plan your member's local clinicians can continue.

Insurer FAQ

Questions from carriers, TPAs & group providers

How do insurers begin cooperation with JINGBEI?
Contact our overseas business team. We arrange onboarding, define the cooperation and settlement model, connect resources and set up the standardized operational workflow.
What kinds of cases do you take?
Planned, elective orthopedic cases. We do not take acute trauma or emergencies, and if specialist review concludes that cross-border referral is not appropriate for a case, we say so and stop. We would rather decline a case than accept one we cannot deliver.
How is cost control and fraud risk managed?
Through standardized policy verification, pre-authorization, in-hospital settlement coordination, itemized claim auditing and cross-border reconciliation.
How is patient data handled for compliance?
We align our processes with international privacy and medical-compliance practices, with standardized, auditable settlement documentation.

Can international insurance cover planned treatment in China?

Sometimes. Coverage for planned treatment overseas varies by policy and requires case-by-case confirmation.

Conditions: the insurer must accept the treating hospital, the procedure must be within the policy's scope, and pre-authorization is normally required before travel. We coordinate pre-authorization, guarantee of payment and claims documentation with your insurer or TPA.
